Sometimes it takes technology. Cabrini's Wound Healing Center uses the most advanced medical technology to treat chronic wounds that have resisted healing. In many cases we save limbs and extremities that otherwise may have required amputation.

Our Wound Healing Center is staffed by a team of 12 physicians and four full-time registered nurses with expertise in diabetes, podiatry, internal medicine, infectious diseases, nutrition as well as general, plastic, vascular, orthopedic and reconstructive surgeries. They provide comprehensive individualized treatment on an outpatient basis.

We also use Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy which has proven to be an effective way to help speed up wound healing. Cabrini is one of the few hospitals in New York City to offer this state-of-the-art technology.
