Inpatient Medical Detoxification Program
Chemical Dependency Unit

If you or a loved one is struggling with alcohol or drug dependence, our medical detoxification program can help you establish a foundation on which lasting recovery may be built.

Each patient's treatment plan is individualized. You will receive a thorough medical evaluation including all labs, chest x-ray and EKG. You will meet with your counselor daily to explore the issues underlying your addiction and to develop an appropriate aftercare plan. A clinical evaluation and needs assessment will be developed by a multidisciplinary team of addiction experts.

Treatment involves medically managed detoxification and programming to support, educate, and motivate you toward restored health and productivity. Patients begin an intensive therapeutic and educational program that includes participation in individual and structured group sessions. There are 12-step meetings offered daily.

Our full-time staff of physicians, nurses, social workers, and others, are experts in the filed of substance abuse. We also draw on Cabrini’s chaplains, nutritionists and medical specialists including psychiatrists to provide the full range of required care for each and every patient. The staff work together as a team to promote each patient's physical, emotional and spiritual recovery.

We are committed to human dignity and respect. It is our mission to help those suffering from addiction to stop self-destructive patterns of behavior, nurture hope, and develop an action plan for a better future. If you are at least 18 years old and want help for chemical dependency, call us.

For information or to schedule an appointment for an evaluation for admission, call (212) 995-6466 (Mon - Fri from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or, visit our Emergency Department at any time.

Nobody's business but yours. At Cabrini, confidentiality is maintained and privacy is always respected.
