Sometimes the fear of a disease can be almost as debilitating as the disease itself. Our Breast Care Center not only offers the latest cancer diagnostics and treatments, we also work with patients and their families to help them cope with the emotional impact of the disease.

Early Detection - The first line of defense against breast cancer is early detection. We recommend monthly self exams and regular physical exams and yearly mammograms.

If a lump or lesions are found, a biopsy is needed to determine whether the lesion is malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous).

Diagnosis - There are several ways to perform a breast biopsy - excisional, core needle.

Treatment - If you need further treatment, your oncologist will work with a team of surgeons and radiation therapists to find the treatment that is best for you.
