Welcome!
Although
we have always taken care of women at Cabrini, it is only
recently that Women's Health Care has become a major focus
for us.
As an
institution, we have decided to jump head first into the arena
of Women's Health Care with many exciting programs designed
to help us care for you. In the months ahead, we will be announcing
our plans to implement several programs with you in mind.
Here is a partial listing of some of the exciting clinical
programs to be unveiled:
| |
We
are actively recruiting additional physicians to add to
the roster of GYNECOLOGISTS on staff. Along with an increased
number of physicians to choose from, there will be an
increase in the gynecologic sub-specialties as well. |
| |
|
| |
We
already have one URO-GYNECOLOGIST on staff, and another
has recently been selected to join the Cabrini family
as well. |
| |
|
| |
We
hope to be one of the first hospitals to offer CRYO-ABLATION
of fibroid tumors. This is an exciting new technique used
to treat these benign tumors as an outpatient. |
| |
|
| |
We
already perform a wide variety of diagnostic BREAST procedures,
and will soon be adding Ultrasound Guided MAMMOTOME biopsies
to the list. |
| |
|
| |
The OSTEOPOROSIS Task Force is well on their way to setting
up protocols to screen, monitor and treat our patients. |
| |
|
| |
The role of Nutritional Counseling will not be overlooked.
The Women's Health Care Initiative is currently working
to develop an outpatient Nutrition program to help our
patients deal with osteoporosis, diabetes, weight loss
etc.
|
Perhaps
the most important commitment of all is our pledge to serve
the women of New York. We are inviting our neighbors to join
us in forming an advisory council. This council will meet
on a regular basis, providing feedback and keeping us on track.
We know that you can choose to get your health care in many
different places. We want to be sure that all of your needs
are being satisfied.
And this
is only the beginning! We hope that you will see Cabrini as
a source of information, a source of guidance and the source
for health care in your community.
