The Residency Training Program in Psychiatry at Cabrini Medical Center provides the trainee with a state-of-the-art educational experience in a supportive and academically stimulating environment. Our comprehensive curriculum emphasizes the latest developments int he biological and psychosocial sciences, and an excellent balance between clinical and academic activities allows the resident to be equally challenged in both domains. Our faculty is deeply committed to excellent in day-to-day teaching since it is our firm belief that the best training occurs within a mentorship relationship rather than a strictly supervisory one. We also encourage our trainees to pursue their specialized interests by devising an individualized program that takes advantage of the numerous and varied training programs both at Cabrini and The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Our ultimate goal is to train residents to become excellent psychiatrists with the clinical skills and knowledge to succeed in these rapidly evolving and exciting times.
